Game 28

Filed under: Recaps — rlgv @ 12:32 am

Say it with me now, “this is the Hudson we need, this is the Hudson we need, this is the Hudson we need.” Braves had a nice little outing tonight, the bats were a little anemic, but with the way Huddy was dealing, it didn’t matter.

Huddy shook off the cobwebs of the last couple starts to throw a gem for us tonight. I’m afraid the pitching portion of this recap will be brief, since Huddy threw a complete game shutout, and there is only so many ways you can say how great he was. He didn’t allow a single run and limited the Reds to only 3 hits, all singles. He walked none and did his best imitation of Smoltz, striking out 10. This is the Huddy we need.

Chipper Jones, seriously, what would we do without this guy? He is a one man hitting machine. Two more hits tonight and a walk lifted his average to .417. McCann was the other good bat of the night, he drove in Chipper (and himself) with a home run, his only hit.

Tomorrow’s game 7:10 PM. Not nationally televised.
