Game 63

Filed under: Recaps — rlgv @ 10:28 pm

Is the law of averages starting to kick in? We couldn’t stay as hot at home as we had been forever. Does that mean we are going to start doing better on the road? Let’s hope. This game didn’t really have a lot of positives, other than some good base stealing and Chipper finding his power stroke. Oh, Jojo did pitch a great game, he just threw one too many pitches.

Jojo was fantastic for seven innings (and then less than fantastic for .1). Jojo was in total control. Before the eighth, he only gave up two long balls. For the game, he gave up four runs, on seven hits and two walks. The pen was not effective, not at all. Ring pitched to one batter and failed to get him out. Bennett got through an inning, barely, two runs, putting the game all but out of reach. Stockman was perfect for .2 innings.

As you can see from the 2 runs scored, there wasn’t a lot of offense. In fact, only Frenchy managed more than one hit, two singles. Blanco walked twice. Chipper had a two run blast.

Brave lose, 6 - 2.

Tomorrow’s game 1:35 on TBS.
