Game 93

The well documented “Jekyll / Hyde” Braves were on full display again last night. The previous game, we pounded out seven runs, last night we weren’t able to push a single run across the plate. (at least this time we were facing a quality pitcher, rather than a sub .500 one).

Jojo only went four innings and was pulled for a pinch hitter. He wasn’t doing too badly, only having given up two runs on five hits. But, balls were being hit hard, when they were hit. Carlyle, for who this may have been a “tryout” to return to the rotation (or at least for more important situations from the pen), didn’t do so well. In his three innings he gave up two runs, but only allowed two hits, striking out four. Ohman pitched an inning, no runs.

The hitting (of course) was the problem. We are still missing a couple key pieces from the lineup, which hurts. We did manage eight hits, but over half of them were by two players, Kotsay and McCann. McCann had three hits including a double, while Kotsay had two.

Braves lose 0 - 4.

Today’s game, 10:05 PM. Not nationally televised.

  1. That picture just about sums up this club right now.
