Braves acquire Javier Vazquez

The Braves have acquired veteran starting pitcher Javier Vazquez along Boone Logan, a left handed reliever from the White Sox in exchange for Brent Lillibridge, Jon Gilmore, Santos Rodriguez, and Tyler Flowers.

Looks like Furcal is heading back to Atlanta, according to a FoxSports.com report this morning. Good move. Gives the Braves a pure leadoff hitter and speed at the top, as well as great defense.
Of course, this means another shoe will drop next. Will it be Escobar or Johnson. Will it land Peavy or Greinke or another front-line starter?
Gonna be interesting.

Indeed it will be, but it’s a good problem to have: either not knowing where the Braves will put all of their players, or not having enough players to go around.
